Strategic Marketing Communications Audits, Plans and Timelines

Do you like a good mystery? That’s how we feel about strategic planning. It’s one of our favorite things to do. We love getting deep and uncovering all of the things that make your business or organization tick. Using this knowledge, we come up with actionable plans that facilitate growth and make a difference for you.

We do this through a time-tested process that involves interviewing your stakeholders, conducting market research, auditing all of your marketing materials, analyzing and reporting our findings and finally, developing detailed marketing strategies with suggested step-by-step implementation schedules and methods for measuring success.

Branding

Communication Savvy specializes in branding. From designing your logo to developing your tagline and key messages, we make sure that the look and feel of your brand represents everything that your business or non-profit organization stands for.

According to Forbes, “a business that doesn’t really have any cohesive branding isn’t going to stay in someone’s mind for very long.

Social Media

Instagram and other social media platforms are very important for business success in 2021. We know you don’t think you have time for it, or that it’s too expensive and we get it. Communication Savvy takes the hassle out of it by creating tailored plans to suit your business needs at a level that you’re comfortable with.

In a recent survey conducted by Hootsuite, “Over a billion people use Instagram every month. 81% of those people use it to research products and services, and 50% of them have visited a website to make a purchase or invest in a service after seeing it on Instagram.

Storytelling

It’s all about content marketing. As marketing guru, Bryan Kramer recently told his audience, “There is no more business to business or business to consumer marketing. Now everything is human to human.”  Customers want to know you, what your values are, what your mission is, where you came from, and what you stand for. Communication Savvy helps tell your story through social media, blogs, photos and videos.

EXAMPLES:

Storytelling Video

Videography and Photography

If a picture tells a thousand words, then a video must tell a million these days. Video is where it’s at and Communication Savvy can integrate video and photography into any of your company’s promotional materials.  We can do this from our iPhones on the inexpensive end or bring in the professionals with their drones and professional lighting and equipment. Our videographers are amazing storytellers. Their videos capture people’s attention and emotions. They are busy working for Brown University, the University of Massachusetts, Riverview School, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital and us!

Community Relations & Sponsorship

Do well by doing good really works. If you want to get noticed by a particular audience, get involved with something they care about. Find a way to become a speaker or sponsor their events. Better yet, start investing in causes that are important to you (Animals? Hunger? Affordable Housing? Education?) and you build natural connections and camaraderie.

Communication Savvy offers strategic consulting around community relations and will tell you all about sponsorship opportunities happening in your community that would give you the most marketing impressions for your investment, while helping you to align with your mission, values, and prospective customers… In turn, you’ll grow your business in a way that makes you feel great.

Clients Who Have Done Well by Doing Good!

Community is important to the staff of Simple Signs Cape Cod. Each year, the business donates 10 meals to local families in need for every invoice they write during the month of November. With the help of their customers, they raised 960 meals for families in 2020, and in 2021 their numbers are looking even better!

Hot Yoga Cape Cod rolled out the yoga mats to raise money for Big Nick’s Ride, a fundraiser in memory of U.S. Marine Michael Hodges and all veterans that have died. The free class asked participants to consider making a donation, which went directly to U.S. Marine Hodge’s young son.

Public Relations

Public relations is one of those things that has changed a lot over the past 20 years, and while Communication Savvy has kept up with the latest trends, we also are well-trained in the basic principles of the practice. We value establishing relationships with media, providing them with reliable and thorough data in a timely manner that they can count on. But we also love the technology that has allowed us to expedite information and all of the amazing new blogs and social media channels. There’s no more lag time. We have videos and photos at the tips of our fingers and at Communication Savvy, we know how to use them!

Fundraising Communications

How do you convince people to donate their money to your organization? How do you get their attention? Gain their trust? Appeal to them to donate to you and not another group? Fundraising communications requires a strategic plan and developed skill set. And its one of our favorite things to do at Communication Savvy.

Case Study:

Child Care Resource Center’s
2021 Halloween Costume & Dance Party

A favorite example of ours is the Child Care Resource Center in North Carolina. They were running an online fundraiser for the month of October. After 25 days, they had only raised $450. They asked Communication Savvy if we could help. We re-wrote their appeal – cutting way back on language and making the ask clear. Then, we suggested a new layout with bolder headlines and captions. Just 3 days later, the campaign had brought in over $7,300!

“I have had the pleasure of working with Margot for the last two years on the marketing committee for Philanthropy Day of the Cape and Islands. Margot’s tireless leadership, expertise and welcoming professional attitude has led us to success for many years. Margot has also demonstrated the ability to multitask several marketing and communication initiatives at once, all while making the deadlines in order for the team to be victorious. Her drive and creative personality is something that is quite unique, and any business or organization would be so lucky to have the privilege of working with her.”

Amanda Booth, Major Gifts Officer, Spaulding Rehabilitation Network

“Margot is intelligent, articulate and personable. A strong individual, she is tactful, yet direct. She also has a tremendous capacity to care – about her work and those she works with, her professional development, the success of the organization and her family, friends and community.  She is capable of communicating her caring nature in a genuine manner that is always ethical and professional”
